Post 26: Exploring why Hamlet is a modern hero

         Hamlet is a modern day hero, because he treats everyone with respect and dignity.
"No such matter. I will not sort you with the rest of my servants; for, to speak to you like an honest man."
          Hamlet's courageousness is shown through many aspects. The mission that he was sent on, made him believe that he was not only sent to kill Claudius, but corruption as well. Hamlet was trying to rid the court of corrupted fools as it is part of  Hamlet scheme of purifying the court.

Post 25: Compare Hamlet to another Character

           Hamlet and Oedipus is alike in many ways, both of their fathers was killed. Even though Hamlet uncle killed his father, Oedipus own hands killed his father. Both set out to take revenge for the cruel act. Both men believed in higher Gods.  Both had issues, one was a madman and the other had mental disorder. At the end Hamlet lost his life and Oedipus lost his eyesight. If though it's not the same but they both lost something, that affected themselves and their family.

Post 24: How well the United States compares to More's Utopia

"There are several sorts of religions, not only in different parts of the island, but even in every town; some worship such men as have been eminent in former times for virtue or glory.

"Him they call The Father of All, and acknowledge that the beginnings, the increase, the progress, the vicissitudes, and the end of all things come only from Him; nor do they offer divine honours to any but to Him alone."

The United States and other countries are compared to Utopia because the worship of one God, even though their are multiply names that each culture acknowledge.

Post 23: Is President Trump a good leader according to Machiavelli

According to Machiavelli, President Trump could be considered either one a good or bad leader.

                   "For a man who wises to act entirely up to his professions of virtue soon meets with what destroys him among so much that is evil. Chapter XV

                  " Coming now to the other qualities mentioned above,  I say that every prince ought to desire to be considered clement and not cruel. Nevertheless he ought to take care not to misuse this clemency." Chapter XVII

               As family smiles are exchange with the first view of you,

                To capture that special moment of me giving birth to you

                I sit back viewing the room of the happiness that brought upon us    

 

Post 19: Dante's concept of Hell

Dante's concept of Hell is considered the 9 circles of Hell. 1st: resided by virtuous non-Christians and unbaptized pagans who are punished with eternity in an inferior form of Heaven.
      2nd: resided with people that were overcome by lust.
      3rd: resided with gluttons who are overlooked by a worm-monster Cerberus
      4th: resided with people are punished for greed
      5th: resided wrathful and sullen are punished for their sins
      6th: heretics who are condemned to eternity in flaming tombs
      7th: this circle is divided into three rings
      8th: resided by the fraudulent
      9th: resided 4 rounds according to the seriousness of the sin though all residents are frozen in an icy lake.

Post 20: Should Socrates be in Hell

Socrates shouldn't be in Hell. The reason for my decision is because he wasn't afraid of  death. Throughout the apology Socrates insists that death is not bad. As he says," The fear of death amounts simply  thinking one is wise when one is not." He came up with two ways that it might be: either death is to be nonexistent, or something happens to the soul upon death and it is transformed or goes to another world. So regardless of what I think may happen with Socrates soul he was afraid of death
