Dante's concept of Hell is considered the 9 circles of Hell. 1st: resided by virtuous non-Christians and unbaptized pagans who are punished with eternity in an inferior form of Heaven.
nd: resided with people that were overcome by lust.
rd: resided with gluttons who are overlooked by a worm-monster Cerberus
th: resided with people are punished for greed
th: resided wrathful and sullen are punished for their sins
th: heretics who are condemned to eternity in flaming tombs
th: this circle is divided into three rings
th: resided by the fraudulent
th: resided 4 rounds according to the seriousness of the sin though all residents are frozen in an icy lake.

  1. The concepts of hell were mapped out clearly in your post. The unbaptized were looked at as not as holy or close to God bc they didn't give God all of themselves.
