"All human societies, including our own, tell stories of how the world began. Such stories are almost infinitely varied in detail, but they tend to include some basic themes."(Gascoigne, Bamber).
As far as the creation stories shape the way we see the world, Genesis in the Bible is a great prime example of it. As far as the book is concern the world was formed into being perfect without any flaws attached to it. But there is such things as disease, guilt, even death, and etc. And it develops as soon as Eve tempted Adam to eat from the tree which God had forbidden them to eat from. "After this act of disobedience Adam and Eve are in the real world."(Gascoigne,Bamber).
We as humans are now playing characters on this Earth portraying the peoples in the Bible, just my opinion. We all have done something that we wasn't proud of or we knew it wasn't right in the eyes of God. We are resigning in a world of sins and the only thing we can do is to repent and ask for forgiveness.
So to conclude this, the creation stories shape the way we see the world as either we will live righteous or we will continue to go down the wrong path and hopefully find our way too being righteous before its to late.
Is it possible to be righteous without believing in creation by God?
